About Konjo Foods
What does “Konjo” mean?
“Konjo” means “beautiful” in Amharic. The name reflects our pride in Ethiopian flavor, ingredients and the people who bring the products to life.
Products & Use
What is Datta?
Datta is a chili condiment commonly enjoyed with Ethiopian meals. Konjo Datta combines chili with garlic, ginger, salt and tangy acidity to create a bold, spoonable sauce.
What is the difference between Konjo Datta Red and Green?
Konjo Datta Red has a deeper red-chili profile with garlic, ginger, vinegar and selected spices. Konjo Datta Green is fresher and sharper, with a vibrant green-chili taste. Both can be served alongside meals or cooked directly into a dish.
Which foods pair well with Konjo condiments?
Datta Red works especially well with kitfo, tibs and fasting wot. Datta Green is a strong match for potatoes, tibs, sandwiches, stews and sauces. Hot & Sweet Ketchup pairs well with fries, burgers, roast chicken and pan-fried meats.
How should I store the products?
Keep unopened bottles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. After opening, follow the storage directions printed on the product label and always use a clean utensil to protect product quality.
Where can I find ingredient and allergen information?
The full ingredient list and applicable product information are printed on each label. If you are buying for a restaurant, institution or export market and need a product specification, contact our team before placing an order.
Do Konjo products contain preservatives?
Some Konjo products use approved food additives to help protect quality and stability. Always refer to the ingredient declaration on the product label for the official information.
What is the shelf life?
Shelf life varies by product and pack. Check the best-before date printed on the package or contact us with the batch information.
Retail & Availability
Where can I buy Konjo Foods products?
Konjo Foods products are available in selected supermarkets and retail stores across Addis Ababa. Contact us with your area and we will help you identify a nearby outlet.
Will every store carry all three products?
Stock varies by outlet. A store may carry Datta Red, Datta Green, Hot & Sweet Ketchup, or a combination of the three. Confirm availability with the retailer or contact Konjo Foods before travelling.
Business & Supply
Can supermarkets, restaurants and hotels order directly?
Yes. Konjo Foods works with supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, distributors and institutional buyers. Share your business name, location, required products and estimated volume so the team can provide the appropriate supply information.
What are your minimum order quantities and wholesale prices?
Minimum quantities and pricing depend on the product, pack format, destination and order frequency. Contact the supply team for a current quotation rather than relying on retail shelf prices.
How can I become a distributor?
Send your company profile, target territory, current distribution network and expected order volume through the contact page. Konjo Foods will assess market fit, logistics and commercial terms before confirming a partnership.
Export & Partnerships
Does Konjo Foods supply export markets?
Yes. Konjo Foods is building supply relationships for diaspora and international markets. Export availability depends on destination requirements, documentation, order size and logistics, so buyers should contact the export team with complete market details.
Can business buyers request product specifications and export documents?
Relevant product and commercial documentation can be discussed during buyer qualification. Tell us the destination country, buyer type, required documents and projected quantity so we can confirm what is available for that transaction.
Contact & Feedback
Can I send product feedback?
Yes. We welcome both positive feedback and concerns. Please include the product name, pack size, batch code, purchase location and a photo when relevant so our team can investigate properly.
